About Support Watertown
From the Office of the Watertown Mayor:
As a trusted member of the Watertown community, we value the quality of life of our small town. Over the years we have worked hard as a community to develop and cultivate our idyllic small town. But our work is far from complete. The playground at Three Forks Park has not been updated in 30+ years and is quickly becoming a safety and liability issue.
I, along with the Wilson County Health Department and the Tennessee Department of Health, have been active working to create a better, safer, more inclusive playground for our residents. Working with a regional company, we have designed a larger playground for Three Forks Park that will provide our children with an opportunity for imaginative play in a safe environment.
I am writing you today to ask for your help to fund this ambitious, but necessary, project for our community. The original cost of the project is $105,000 and the Department of Health has committed to $37,000 in grants and in-kind donations. We are looking to raise the additional $68,000 with the help of our generous community members. Would you be willing to contribute?
On this website, you can find the schematic of the playground design so you can get a full sense of how impactful this opportunity will be for our community.
Thank you in advance for you generosity and continued support of the community!
Sincerely,
Mike Jennings, Mayor
Brandon Howard, Vice Mayor
